What we collect
When you place an order
To process and ship your order, we collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Shipping address
- Billing address
- Phone number (optional, used only for delivery issues)
- Payment information — processed securely through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you create an account
If you create an account or sign in via magic link, we store your email address and a unique account identifier so we can show you your order history, manage your subscriptions, and let you sign back in. We use Supabase as our authentication and database provider.
When you browse the site
Like most websites, we automatically collect certain technical information when you visit:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Pages you visit and time spent on them
- Referring website (how you found us)
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
This data is collected through cookies and our hosting provider’s request logs (Vercel). It is used in aggregate to understand how people use our site — not to identify you personally.
When you subscribe to our newsletter
If you sign up for email updates, we collect your email address. That’s it.
When you contact us
If you email us at hello@saigonritual.com, we retain the contents of your message, your email address, and our response so we can follow up and improve our customer service.
How we use it
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfill your orders
- Send you order, shipping, and subscription confirmations
- Respond to your questions and customer service requests
- Send marketing emails (only if you’ve opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time)
- Improve our website, products, and customer experience
- Prevent fraud and protect the security of our site
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with services that are necessary to run our business:

Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Here’s what we use:
Essential cookies
Required for the site to function. You can’t opt out of these without breaking the site.
- Cart cookie— keeps your cart contents between visits while you’re signed out. Signed with a server-side secret so it can’t be tampered with.
- Authentication cookies — issued by Supabase to keep you signed in across page loads.
How to manage cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site (like checkout) from working properly.

California residents (CCPA)
If you’re a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose

- The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information — to be clear, we do not sell your personal information
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information:
- All transactions are processed over TLS/HTTPS encryption
- Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant) — we never store card numbers on our servers
- Access to customer data is limited to authorized personnel only
- Our infrastructure is maintained with regular security updates
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we do our best to protect your information using commercially reasonable standards.
Children’s privacy
Our site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at hello@saigonritual.com and we will delete it promptly.
Embedded content
Pages on our site may include embedded content from other websites (videos, images, social media posts). Embedded content from other sites behaves exactly as if you visited that website directly — they may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with the content.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page. We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top when we make changes. For significant changes, we’ll notify you by email or a prominent notice on our site.
