Description
Why Quảng Trị Liberica is special:
- Coastal influence — ocean breezes moderate temperature, slow ripening
- Lower elevation (680masl) — Liberica thrives where arabica struggles
- Small-scale farming — family plots, not industrial plantations
- Traditional methods — hand-picked, sun-dried, minimal processing
Our partner farm has grown Liberica for three generations, preserving trees that are 40+ years old. These aren’t high-yielding commercial crops—they’re labor-intensive, low-volume, and irreplaceable.
Limited Availability & Sustainability
This coffee is rare. Liberica production is inherently small-scale. Our partner farm produces only 500kg per harvest, and we’re one of the few roasters they work with.
When it’s gone, it’s gone until the next harvest (typically once per year).
We chose medium roast (City level) because:
- Preserves jackfruit and strawberry brightness
- Develops molasses sweetness without caramelization
- Maintains full body and syrupy texture
- Balances fruit-forward complexity with drinkability
This isn’t a “shock factor” roast. We want you to taste the fruit, the terroir, the decades of cultivation—not just novelty.
